Before you accept donations — either as standalone gifts or as extra amounts added to ticket purchases — please confirm you understand the following:
- Charitable status. You are responsible for your organization's charitable status (501(c)(3), CRA registered charity, Section 46, UK registered charity, etc.) and the accuracy of every identifier you enter — EIN, CRA registration number, Charity Commission number, Section 46 number.
- Tax receipts. QuikRSVP generates donor receipts based on the values you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy of those receipts, including the fair-market-value figures you set on each ticket tier when goods or services are exchanged (e.g. dinner at a gala).
- State / country fundraising registration. Many states and countries require charities (and sometimes the platforms they use) to register before soliciting donations. California's AB 488, Hawaii's equivalent, and similar laws elsewhere may apply to your event. You are responsible for your organization's registration obligations.
- Donor data. Donor name, email, dedications, and comments are stored on the form record and (where the donor hasn't opted out) shown publicly on the donor wall. You agree to handle donor data in accordance with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, etc.).
- Refunds & chargebacks. Donations are processed via Stripe Connect direct charges and routed to your connected account. Refunds, chargebacks, and dispute handling are your responsibility, subject to Stripe's policies.
- Platform fee. QuikRSVP charges a 3% platform fee on each successful donation in addition to Stripe's processing fees. The fee schedule is shown to donors in the donate flow.
- Payout timing. One-time donations and ticket sales route to your connected account 14 days after each payment, with processing billed at the card's actual cost — never more than the estimate shown at checkout. Recurring gifts transfer at each renewal.
By accepting, you confirm you have authority to enable fundraising for this organization and that your responses to the charitable-status, EIN/registration-number, and FMV fields in the builder are accurate.
